You do realize that Randy H wasn't even at NDSU when Jensen was recruited?

And Roehl was just a GA in 2011. He didn't even become the tight end & fullbacks coach until 2014 and the OC in 2019.

But I think that 123Gobison was referring to the "type" of QB that Hedberg can recruit for Roehl's offense, not those exact players.

Roehl was getting major props in 1st half and even into the 2nd half by everyone and twitter sports world, etc.

then when Arizona put 8 guys in box and sent the kitchen sink, Roehl couldn't do 1 play action or rollout? read the room man..

    argh.

ps having cam throw on 2nd down at goal line when he fumbled wasn't smart.

    Gonella/Kobe didn't get more touches

and LUEPKE ONLY HAD 3 CARRIES IN THE 4TH? is that true?

So you want can to roll out when they stack the box because they were expecting the run. But when he did roll out on second down when they were expecting the run. The bison should have ran.

That was a nice contraction and pivot on the same forum entry. Nicely done

Outside or 4 or 5 plays, Roehl called a great game. We ran for almost 300 yards and 6.3 ypc.

My only complaint was going to Bussey up the middle on a key drive, the roll out on the Cam fumble when we were running the ball at will, not giving T Mac more touches and not sprinkling in play action a few more times. Its not Roehls fault guys jump off sides or cam slides too early.

I am more concerned about the way we called the game on defense. Virtually no blitzes in the 1st half and we weren't getting pressure with 4 down lineman

He had all the time in the world. Many of his big plays were designed runs, except for the TD. He's a hell of a QB when he loses the gunslinger mentality. I was impressed. But we couldn't get pressure with 4. When we threw in some blizes in the 2nd half he struggled... at least until we gave him a 2nd chance with stupid penalties

I agree 100% with the Bussey statement. If you are running Bussey there, it had to be to the outside. Up the middle should have been Hunter or even Dom Gonella.

Pretty sure that every time Bussey has busted one it has been between the tackles. Used to be that he got lost in there.
