That mantra would have been fine with the 2013 and 2018 teams that were so experienced but it's just not where the 2019/2020/2021 teams are at. I know that the 2019 team went 16-0 but they really did get lucky in a few spots. I think when a team is inexperienced it is waaaaaay more beneficial in non-conference and non-competitive games to open up the playbook to get game reps. Getting a lead and letting QP2 drop back to pass against a real rush is going to pay dividends later in the season.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that any team that goes undefeated probably got lucky a time or two.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
