Not going to lie, Cordell has been pretty awful the first two weeks of the season...

HOWEVER, he has looked great in the first quarter tonight on MNF against Aaron Donald.

He started slow last year and then really hit his stride, so hopefully that's what's happening again.

Of course you have analytics to back up that claim that he was terrible the first two weeks.........

Well, I've watched every play and my eyes tell me it.

If you'd prefer analytics, PFF has him with a 37.4 grade, which is 69th out of 73 guards...so yeah, I guess.

For the record, I think he's been better than the PFF grade, but not by a ton.

    Donald starting to dominate

Really rough 2nd quarter for Cordell. He'll probably be charted with 1.5 or 2 sacks in that quarter and they left him 1 on 1 with Donald a few times.

He's looked good the vast majority of plays, but his negative plays have been very negative.

They can't leave him 1 on 1 with Donald, because he'll make the best guys look bad, but they kept doing it.

Donald with two dominant reps against Volson on that drive, but they overcome it and scored a TD.

They have to give him more help than they've been giving him tonight.

Aaron Donald is so damn good.

Volson gets some kudos for a nice block on the TD run

Battle of NDSU starting left guards in Tennessee today.

Volson doing a a much better job this week after a poor game last week.

Radunz hasn't been as impressive, but I haven't noticed any disastrous reps.

Both of the offenses look really bad

Volson’s issue is pass blocking so far. He has been a good run blocker. Weirdly enough, Mauch has been the opposite.

Volson wasn’t good last game, but his help was also too slow all game.

    Yeah, agreed.

The thing with Cordell is he wins the vast majority of his reps (so do most linemen), but when he loses a rep, he loses so fast and so spectacularly.

He had a 0 for his PFF pass blocking grade last week, ranks 73 out of 74 guards, and on the year, his pass blocking grade is an unfathomable 5.2
