One thing for sure this year. The bunnies will not have their fans there.

I'm surprised though at the decision.

So glad SDSU or USD fans will not able to attend. All they do is boo EVERY foul call against them, or fouls they thought should be called. I went to the USD games this past Sunday and thought USD fans were better than SDSU fans but they proved me wrong. Terrible fans who apparently don't know much about the game. They don't deserve to host the tourney in their home state and somehow they feel entitled.

Well the top two seeds are playing without one of their best players for both the Yotes and the Bunnies

With that being said SDSU should hammer Omaha prediction 81-54

South Dakota should sneak by Western Illinois 68-62

I am worried about UMKC---how will the game be officiated? Will they allow them to get into us or shove on drives? It does help us vs. UMKC that are guards are bigger!!!
    NDSU 71 UMKC 60

Oral Roberts i think will play outstanding vs UND----78-64; feel Oral Roberts will make the championship game---will get hot

Saw a note on Bison Report on how NDSU had lost 67% of it’s scoring from last season. I would add to that the Bison also lost their 3 primary ball handlers (Shahid, Ward, Hunter) - and the JC PG recruited to take over suffered a traumatic lower leg injury. That got my curiosity up to compare numbers from last year and see who improved and picked up the slack.
Big steps forward by these players - congrats!

    Rocky Kreuser

    2020 - 25.6 mpg - 10.0 ppg - 6.0 rpg - 43% fg - 33% 3fg
    2021 - 29.7 mpg - 14.8 ppg - 6.9 rpg - 45% fg - 36% 3fg

Sam Greisel (injured at beginning of 2019-20 season)

    2020 — 24.1 mpg - 6.6 ppg - 5.5 rpg - 42% fg - 27% 3fg
    2021 - 33.5 mpg - 11.7 ppg - 6.5 rpg - 44% fg - 35% 3fg

    Tyree Eady

    2020 - 26.4 mpg — 6.7 ppg - 3.9 rpg - 45% fg - 36% 3fg
    2021 - 33.8 mpg - 11.1 ppg - 5.5 rpg - 51% fg - 42% 3fg

    Maleeck Harden-Hayes

    2020 —— 7 mpg - 1.7 ppg - 1.7 rpg - 36% fg - 43% 3fg
    2021 - 26.6 mpg - 9.7 ppg - 5.4 rpg - 52% fg - 38% 3fg

Jarius Cook - redshirted last season - now a RSoph - big jump in his numbers also from his true freshman season

imo the Coyotes did the Bison a favor by throwing both a trapping press and Zone D’s at them. Hopefully the lessons are learned and success can be had at the Summit League Tournament. NDSU certainly has the shooters to take advantage of the holes in a Zone D...... See Eady & MHH especially.

Good stuff... that's really interesting. I do think the Bison have outperformed preseason expectations this year by pretty much everyone so far.

Griesel has been a serviceable point guard and I don't think anyone would've thought that at the start of the year. I like to say he's got "old man game"... he doesn't break ankles with his moves but he knows how to be crafty and create a shot for himself or a teammate when he needs to. He's kind of like a poor man's version of Jon Konchar (do everything PG who played for Fort Wayne for what seemed like 11 years).

Eady really needs to be more assertive offensively I think. These numbers underscore the fact that he's an offensive threat. I think he defers far too much on that end.
