Bison closing out this one really strong.
The last 30 game minutes have been fun to watch on the offensive end... hopefully they can take this momentum into the SLT. Griesel and Eady being aggressive makes them so much better. And they're making shots, tough ones and easy ones. USD and Umude in particular just ran out of gas.
Could be a rematch between these two on semifinal Monday.
What a difference a day makes. Griesel with 26 after scoring only 2 last night. Nice win to end the regular season!
nice finish, good boost heading into the SLT
NDSU Athletics: oderint dum metuant
Still shaking my head at Kamataros' (#34 for USD) 3-point shooting display today. Coming into the day he was 8-32 from 3 on the year. As they pointed out on the broadcast he hadn't made one in a month (which spanned 7 games) missing his last 12 but going back further he was 2-22 from 3 going back to January 3rd. And then today he goes 5-6 from deep.
Shows you how well the Bison played in that he had a career shooting day and Umude put up 39 on only 25 shots and they still lost by 12.
Helped NDSU finally had a good game from behind the arc to counter Kamataros shooting out of his mind.
Was in attendance at the game today with SDBISON in tow; Umude is POY in the SL. Wow, the guy is damn near unstoppable when he's on........and he's a nice person; not a hotdog like other players the Bison have played against. Spent the game sitting beside Rocky's parents.... nice people. Rocky's dad is very calm and collected.....Mom, not so much. Also met MHH's dad.......lives in Ames, Iowa, and doesn't think he'll make it to the SL tourney. They're only letting Moms and Dads in the Pentagon according to Mr. Hayes. This is bull crap, especially when there were 6000 plus in attendance at the Premier Center the night before for the Stampede hockey game and the weiner dog races. WTH !!!! Bison definitely have a shot at dancing again. The Yotes definitely will miss AJ Plewwiltiez who had surgery today in Sious Falls to repair the ligament damage. Too bad for the Yotes; he's a very good player. Greisel stepped up today; hit a big 3 ball at the buzzer at the half to give the Bison the lead. Hope the Bison keep practicing their press breaker. They'll see that alot in the tourney.
Totally agree about Umude. Dude is a complete player. Depth is reason why Bison overcame his individual talent.
