2nd game UND benefitted from turn overs. They must be doing something right.

This. The defense can’t blame the offense, because they did not make stops all day. I think the lopsided TOP was more due to the defense than the offense. You have to be aggressive and make plays on 3rd down. Ugh!

One observation I left the game with is that it seemed like our receivers were really never open. There always seemed to be fairly tight coverage. I don't know if this is scheme, lack of athletes or the QB not getting the read correct, but even the balls that were solid throws were contested. This isn't a new problem for us, as I feel its how JMU beat us in the playoffs a few years back, they locked down the WR and threw everyone at the line to stop the run.

Watched the game again. What a mess offensively. Minus the last drive of both halves, NDSU ran 36 plays for 113 yards. 3.1 yards per play. Yikes.

That's pretty much what it felt like minus the last drive of 1st half. The drive of the fumble by Zeb. And the final Bison drive of the game. Every other drive they hardly got any first downs on.

Not sure I agree with this there were more then a few times we had a guy open but the ball went somewhere else. You have to take what the defense gives you and not try to force it. Zeb had time to go thru progressions but it didn't look like he was most of the time.
