Imo too much is being made of this. LittleJohn and Travis Beck were basically safeties as well. Maybe it’s execution and maybe the DL isn’t playing at the level we’re used to. I saw the line get blown backward a number of times Saturday. Saying a guy being 211 vs 225 as being the reason for our poor run defense seems overly simplistic but I could be wrong

Yeah I think it has way more to do with knowing your position then a size thing. If you know what your supposed to do you will be in position and playing faster. Seemed like the outside LB's were out of position way too much.

Our line play is definitely a big concern on both sides of the ball. SIU owned us in the trenches for the most part. That's alarming!

well TRUE. but still, there hasn't been a Spring Season before, so unfortunately this is what's going thru a 19 and 20 year old's mind with spring fever and this shitty year due to covid.
