I think NDSU will Play GSU in the next 10 years.

WE will place all the other coaches that placed GSU in the Hall of Shame that made us mediocre using other offenses and avenge the losses against GSU by other teams!

    Ummm maybe! ;-)

I also think I will then change my name to TALON-Maximus, A true believer of the FLEX TRIPLE OPTION under Erk Russell and Paul Johnson. ;- } PJ will return!

Georgia Southern Spread Option Football - Out weighed but seldom out played! Of course, GSU doesn’t run the Spread anymore – but still!

Shouldn't be much suspense for this one but without further ado...

January 10th, 2015: North Dakota State vs Illinois State (FCS Championship Game)

It was an all-MVFC matchup in the title game with both teams having completed a perfect 8-0 conference season (they did not play each other) so in addition to being the national championship game it was the de facto MVFC championship game. It turned out to be the most thrilling title game the Bison have played in as a D1 program. They controlled the game early jumping out to a 20-7 lead midway through the 3rd quarter but the Redbirds scored TDs on their next 3 drives to take a 27-23 lead with only 1:38 to play on a long TD run by their electric dual-threat QB Tre Roberson. NDSU responded as first year starting QB Carson Wentz then led a legendary clutch drive connecting with true freshman RJ Urzendowski 3 times covering 78 yards and capped it off with a 5 yard run of his own for the go-ahead TD with 37 seconds left. Esley Thorton picked off Roberson's pass on the ensuing drive to seal the victory. With the win the Bison became the first team in FCS/D1AA history to win 4 straight national titles in Chris Klieman's first year as head coach. Remarkably the seniors on that team ended their playing careers with more national titles (4) than losses (3).

And that's my list! Hopefully this thread got the juices pumping a bit more in regards to Bison football at a very unusual time of year. Like I said at the beginning of the thread who knows if there might be a game or two played this spring that will bring back similar memories 10 years from now that some of the games in this list have brought back in us. I'm thankful that we have the opportunity to watch Bison football this spring so we don't miss out on those potential memories.

Bring on the flightless birds tomorrow! Let's go Bison!!!

Yeah it was the best game played in Frisco. Hard to argue with putting it at the top.

Well done, Chaos, and thank you. I nominate for Hall of Fame.

Thank you for putting this list together. It's been great checking in here each day, going back to watch highlights and some pressers and chatting a bit about the games.

I second the nomination for Hall fo Fame thread. This took a considerable amount of time and had some of the best, focused conversation on the site in a while.
