Isn’t it pretty common for FCS head coaches to get position jobs at a P5 before getting head coaching jobs? I feel like Klieman is the exception...

So, is Choate the 3,4,5,6,7 in-line on the Texas coaching staff? So there’s a Defensive Coordinator title, and it’s not Choate. Usually when you have co-Defensive coordinators, both have Co in their title. Nope, not this time. His “Co D-Coordinator” title looks to be clearly for appearances. Ast coaches are listed in order of coaches last name, so I’m guessing he’s 7th in Line. Just my observation. Must have burned a bridge in going for Boise job, and wanted out when he didnt get it. Took the Texas job but is well down the coaches list.

Interestingly I don’t think he’s ever had a coordinator position. Looks like he jumped from DLine coach at Washington to HC at Montana State (which was his first HC job). I would be truly curious as to what those in the industry would consider to be steps up/down in that situation. He’s been a position coach (many different positions) all over the FBS, usually not staying more than one or two years before jumping ship. Interesting.
Conspiracy theory(made up entirely by me): He's simply staging his move to NDSU when Entz gets his FBS shot.
