Washington fans, it’s good to be excited about Wentz. While there are questions surrounding his game, he does several things well. Throwing the deep ball is one of those things. And with the Commanders adding first-round pick Jahan Dotson to a wide receiver corps that features Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and Dyami Brown, there is genuine excitement about the passing game in 2022.

Starting wideout skipping mini camp in contract dispute so that’s helpful. I don’t begrudge the guy wanting his extension but going on his third team in three years it sure would be nice for Carson to have all his guys in camp. Just seems like more penny wise pound foolish Chainsaw Dan nonsense.

I just hope he does not hold on to the ball too long, cuz there aint no RJ Urzendowski or Zac Vraa or Darrius Shepard to be fist fighting with the DBs and making plays until the last second. These NFL WRs are soft, best he just throws the ball away and not sit there and take a hit hoping his WRs make plays.

Also hope he does not throw into double coverage, often.

If they get Mclaurin an extension this could be the best WR group he's had in the NFL. He has a chance to have his best season yet but time will tell.

Personally, I'm glad that the league is taking things seriously as it relates to gratuitous contact. I love the game too much to see it struggle because of too many unnecessary injuries. If we all want this sport to be around in 30 years, we need to root for measures that limit practice contact.

For what it's worth, reduced full contact time in practice has been a thing for awhile. So has safer tackling. These have resulted in fewer injuries and the best players being available on gameday. I don’t think the quality of play has suffered in the least.
