Sure wouldn’t mind seeing NDSU playing in the Boca Raton Bowl right now against either of these teams. Some may say: “but Towson” “but JMU” “but Sam Houston” etc.

what would NDSU's financials look like if the Fargodome operations weren't mostly off the books?

What’s the point? NDSU doesn’t own the facility and has no contingent obligations related to it. It doesn’t belong “on the books”.

It distorts the true scale of the athletics department. NDSU has several million a year in direct operational expenses and revenues that are being covered by a second pary, which would otherwise be part of the departments budget

I guess I’d suggest either, look it up in the City of Fargo financial statements or, perhaps it would be easier to strip such things out of whatever athletic department you’re comparing with.

Seems like something that a study of a potential transition would probably be able to get arms around.

    Fixed it for ya.

I want to play BYU every year, not UND. Sorry but I could care less about UND FB. A state this small shouldn’t have 2 D1 FB teams, but especially if it already has a D1 MIH team.

I’m sure that offends people from both fan bases, but it's a free country and everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

    Merry Xmas

Sorry, thought you were talking about the general consensus about FCS for a second there.
Hate to break it to you, but both things are true.

Not really. Expenses are a cost of doing business. SDSU bonded their stadium and they take the payment out of their athletic budget like a mortgage payment

College athletics are not run like a for profit business.

But theoretically they could move out of the dome and use the offices and locker rooms in the SHAC and future IPF and pay less

Lol. If you think that there as many people in this country who give as many shits about a college hockey team from North Dakota as they do a college football team who has hosted ESPN College Gameday twice, then you’re about as fucking stupid as the we all expected.
