NDSU to the FBS

Jesus did McFooly even read the emails. They were sent before MWC resumed their season and the AAC said they currently have no interest in a Football/BBall only move. This story is 5 months old and already dead. Would be awesome if it happened though so the reports could come out and verify what people with commen sense know. MWC has no interest in NDSU

Maybe he got a text saying if, if, if the MWC was really looking to add FCS teams - if, if, if Boise somehow were to leave - that the MWC would look to the states of Montana & Idaho (no Boise to block Idaho) - that way they would have a natural expansion of their footprint - kinda like when they added Utah State 6-7 years ago

Reality check. NDSU currently plays in the third division of college football. It currently has the best post season system. Competition wise NDSU would be better served playing in the second diversion. Unfortunately their post season system is the worst in college football. That combined with conference geography make a move up by NDSU alone difficult and a mixed bag of costs and benefits. The solutions to these problems could be made but it's not within NDSU's power to fix them by themselves. That being said, I hope the administration has working plans to move up under varying circumstances.

For the record, I don’t have a problem with something like, “I don’t think the MW has any interest in NDSU” or “I’m skeptical that the MW has interest in NDSU” and then state your reasons. I actually happen to agree with being skeptical of that...

But, yeah, that stuck out as highly ironic from someone who routinely takes giant shits on Chapo for the exact same thing.

Things move slow in the world of college football, especially in a pandemic. Reality is we really have no evidence if the MWC has interest or no interest in NDSU. We have no evidence that NDSU wants to move up. We do have evidence that the fans would like to move up. We don't have evidence Boise wants to leave, but where there is smoke there could be fire

If NDSU moves "up" to the G5, we need an alternate mascot so we can get more merchandise sales.
