G5 is not big boy football, and outside the FCS landscape it is not perceived as such.

FBS fans in general have no clue who the G5 teams are.

G5 does not participate in Bowl Games?

You're right, you don't get it, at all. If you think it's the same as playing 80% of teams in FCS you're delusional. Outside of about 20 FCS teams the rest of the division is complete garbage and they really don't even care. That's what this division is about, basketball schools that offer football at a lesser commitment. If we are going to stay FCS we might as well stop increasing FB spending and put it into BB. I'm sure the FB donors will like that idea.

When someone says the success of Costal and Liberty, are you referring to Costal going undefeated and still not being invited to a major bowl game let alone the FBS playoffs. Yeah, lets just jump on that bandwagon.
    From the movie THE PROGRAM

Regent Chairman: This is not a football vocational school. It's an institute for higher learning.
Coach Winters: Yeah, but when was the last time 80,000 people showed up to watch a kid do a damn chemistry experiment? Why don't you stick the bow-tie up your ass?

For me it's not even about the bowl game, it's having the chance to play and compete at the highest level every year not just one game every 3-4 years. Beating up on the have nots and misfits in FCS is getting boring.

Do you believe either Coastal Carolina or Liberty regret the decision to move up?

Coastal's profile is not any higher than NDSU. 80 percent of the G5 is garbage. The division is mostly basketball schools that don't care about football. That's what it is.

Coastal was #1 and an NCAA National Champion in 2016 when the won the College World Series. A lot of America knew them then. How long did that fame last??
