guys we dont have any of that!!! LOL what the hell are you talking about?
ticket sales donations media rights student fees total budget
    2019 $691,013 $2,304,027 $3,142,045 $23,541,327 40,000,000

We have more in donations, merch sales, and media rights than them
Their stadium would have to expand by over 50% to jump to FBS.
They have a non existent national brand where 60% of their athletic revenue is student fees.

We have the money and the the TV. They have the enrollment, which is easily, without a doubt, the least important criteria for any football conference criteria. I would actually say its not important whatsoever.
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

neither of those programs provide anything of value to the conference. Like the Big 10 adding rutgers- they PERCIEVED that it would add TONS of eyes on TV, and recruiting hotbeds on the east coast. Neither has happened as a result of rutgers or maryland. In a world of streaming, you add the most entertaining program that gives your conference a chance to get post season cash and gets people to stream the games on the phone. NDSU does all of these vastly more than UTEP and texas state. (and rutgers)

NDSU would be the smallest, least funded public university in FBS.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It didn't matter whether it got eyes actually on TV, Rutgers and Maryland got the B1G Network into the cable lineup in NYC/DC/east coast markets, which was automatically worth a whole bunch of $$$$'s in cable subscriptions. Distributions from the TV contract went from $26 million in 2013 to $52 million in 2018. But tell us somemore how it was a big mistake.

NDSU needs to figure out what it wants. If it wants to continue to stay in Division 2 for football, they need to start allocating funds over to the basketball program and improve that. You could probably cut the Teammakers money in half for the football program and it would still be among the elite in FCS. That's ok, but quit wasting resources.
