That was not an aesthetically pleasing half of basketball.

NDSU played with a little more pace towards the end of the half and seemed to get better looks.

The first 10 minutes was basically unwatchable with the lack of pace, awful shooting, and nobody to create good looks.

Should have saved Nelson's redshirt year. Early indications he is nowhere even close to ready. We can't finish at the rim and bricks from the outside. An atrocious 1st half and lets hope it was just nerves. D is ok but slow on rotations. To be expected with a bigger lineup. Lets hope the boys come out re-focused in the 2nd half.

Honest question: Isn't this year essentially a free year eligibility wise? Didn't the NCAA says this year wouldn't count towards a students years of eligibility? Or was that just certain sports?

It was for sure fall and winter sports. 2020 spring sports had the same decision from the NCAA.

Nobody loses a year of eligibility this year fyi, so he will still have 4 years left after this year. We are a young team without our two stars from last year, playing our first game. No surprise on coming out slow to start. Hopefully improvement and adjustments come in the next 20 min.
