Good news for next year’s team, just like recently mentioned that the men’s team has Rocky returning for a 5th year

Two really good Summit League women's basketball players are coming back in 2022. I'm told #NDSU's Emily Dietz and #SDSU's Tylee Irwin will return to their teams next season. Each played as true freshmen in 2018.

We haven't always necessarily played shitty but this team relies a fair amount of their offensive production from the 3 point line and when we shoot poorly from there we tend to struggle to find other ways to score. If we shoot well it will stay close and we could sneak out a win, if we shoot poorly it could get ugly fast.

    Very interesting game today!
SDSU is 17-2 (10-0) and has 3, yes 3, wins over Top-20 teams this season.
Can the Bison hang in the game with the 23/25 ranked SDSU?
NDSU did well in Brookings last season, keeping the game within reach at 60-52, but the return game in Fargo was not within reach......
That was followed by a 20 point loss to the Jacks during the Summit League Tournament - after beating Denver in the 1st round.

Am expecting a big game from Jackrabbit Tylee Irwin (Wahpeton)
as she is back in her home state and will want to do well.
When she was in high school there was no way NDSU could go head-to-head in a recruiting battle with SDSU. Now there might actually be a chance with 2nd year Head Coach Collins.
Irwin is a senior but Dom has reported she will return to Brookings for another year - I don’t think she ever redshirted.

Down 7 at half to the Jacks. Really fun game to watch. Let SDSU on an 11-0 run but other than that it’s been largely back and forth.

Really gritty game, lots of players on the floor and hard fouls. Looks like a rivalry game. Love the intensity.

We need to start really pushing the ball on SDSU misses! We need some easier transition buckets like the last couple of possessions before the SDSU defense is setup.

8 point loss is a moral victory since we usually lose by 30+
At least we know the gap could be getting a little closer

Bison women don't look out of place with the Jacks. SDSU at times is a bit more athletic in D.

Great to see so many players getting time against SDSU in these games. Will pay dividends in the next couple years.

Did you try more than once? First time I tried for the game last night it didn't work, second time was the charm.
