Easton plays in California....poor guy.
Agent takes 10%, and then he pays 12% to California, and another 33+% to the feds. Not to mention the ridiculous rule that athlete's have to pay taxes for every game they play in another state...good lord, no wonder these guys want massive deals. Half their shit is gone before they even get it.

Hope he has a good CPA guy who can get some good deductions for him.

And the minor caveat that there is a big difference between the max potential value of NFL deals that make headlines and the actual guaranteed money that will surely be paid.

NFL agents make less on playing contacts but they probably get some back thru endorsements and other services. I'm sure he's not hurting... Unless he made a lot of stupid financial decisions.

He's definitely not hurting...but the point was, the guys that are making 500k/year to 1 million/year are not as wealthy as people think they are. They make half or less of what their contract shows, depending on what state they live in. I'd say it's less than half for most.
