Garoppolo didn’t practice due to injury. Trey could be in line to start this weekend.

Hopefully they have worked more than 5 plays of the playbook since his last start. Arizona ate him up.

Garoppolo has a torn UCL and a fracture in his right thumb... seems kind of odd that this isn't already classified as a multi-week injury since that's on his throwing hand. They just say his status is "uncertain" for Sunday. Russell Wilson was out a month with something similar in a different finger I thought.

    Let's hope it's Trey time!

Its also called a gamekeepers thumb fracture. The UCL isnt really torn in as much as the UCL is still attached to a small piece of bone which has detached from the thumb---an avulsion fracture.

Different times. Days of teams winning with superior defense are over. It’s an offensive league and we are not going to see a QB like Dilfer ever win a Super Bowl again.

The Pats won a super bowl with like 10 points a few years ago.

The offense they run with Trey reminds me of the NDSU offense with Quincy. Shotgun. QB power. Long bomb. Hopefully they can open it up more now that be has a bit more experience

I believe it was last week, Fred Warner, linebacker for the 49ers, was asked about Trey and he said that Trey has been tearing apart the #1 defense in practice for about a month now. Shanahan also said on Tuesday that Trey's last month of practice has been his best all season. So seems like he is picking things up and adjusting to the speed quite well. Sounds like he would be ready to go if needed.

What else is Fred Warner going to say to that question? Of course he's going to give Trey praise. It's just being a good teammate when he's being asked the question.
    Insert something clever here...
