They gave Trey the first half and the second half to Darnold last week and then they switched it this week. Pretty standard when you’ve got a back-up position on the line.

Glad to hear he played well. Anyone know how Darnold did in the first half?

Why sit and lose his base salary? back up qb best job in the world. I doubt he'd make as much somewhere else under your plan Lakes.

I didn't get to watch the game but have seen lots of highlights. From those highlights, it looks like he threw some incredibly good balls. There are two in particular on that TD drive that he threw to Snead. The first one was with a defender blitzing and about to hit him. He looked really calm. The second was up the middle into a non-existent/tight window that only the receiver could get and it was absolutely perfect. Few QBs would hit that one. He had a few other good/great throws as well.

I'm going to watch the actual game rerun tonight on NFL network to see how the flow of the game was with him in there vs Purdy or Darnold.
