Where is he going to go where they’ll stop calling him a project? He played one season of FCS football he IS a project. If hearing that is really a problem for him then that is a problem.

Go back and watch the audio and video press releases when Trey Lance was nominated the starting QB. The constant sound byte was that Kyle S is requesting his veterans to support Trey Lance, WTF is that, you dont hear that with Brock, there was no "Oh please support Brock". I think its just good for Trey to get the hell out of Bay Area.

Are you serious man. Trey played against Chicago when it was raining like crazy. SanFrancisco may have declared a flood emergency during that game. Super star TE Kittle was on the sidelines because of some "injury" and did not play early in the season. Deebo Samuel, never practiced during off season due to contract issues and he was dropping passes. There was no CMC. Then Kyle S comes to the podium and says I have requested all the veterans to support Trey Lance , he was literally begging his veterans to give Trey Lance a chance because they were salty that Jimmy G was not the QB. That poor kid is standing in the pocket and 2nd guessing everything. Thats probably why he decided, F it and run with the ball himself. This is too much for Trey.

If SF believes Purdy is the future, and they have good cause for that, and they have any question at all about Lance's reconstructed ankle, yeah, they'd shop Lance around to see who'd bite.

SF could trade Lance, not sign Jimmy G, pick up a cheap one or two year contract veteran-ish backup (Minshew, Stidham, Rush, Henne) for less than either, and draft and develop the guy for after Purdy. SF'd come away with a plan, a pick, and cap money.

As far as Trey is concerned, the 49ers gave up 3 1st round picks and a 2nd rounder for him, now his worth is ..may be...a 3rd rounder, like Shannon Sharpe said, its like buying a house worth 2 million and now the value is $500,000 so 49ers are not going to trade him but this is not going to help Trey. Your posts read like you are reading wayyy too far into little things.

I'm sorry but the likelihood that George Kittel was faking an injury to sabotage a young starter is pretty low. I'm not sure the last time a guy was even accused of that. The fact that a coach says in a press conference he asked the vets to support Lance is nothing more than a reminder that we have a young inexperienced quarterback. And Trey Lance is probably one of the most high profile "Project" QB's drafted in recent memory. He played one year of FCS football. Most guys coming out of college have played a lot more football than he has, and against significantly better competition.

I agree he needs to play now, but it doesn't really matter for what team. Simply getting on the field would be a good deal for him, regardless of a team's "ego" or "locker room drama."
