That was not pretty. Playing against Texans 2nd stringers and no points. I just don't see the natural instincts. Hopefully he can develop. Trey is a great athlete but you need a lot more to be a great QB

He has a no trade and no tag clause in his restructured contract and he is now the highest paid backup in the NFL. He isn't going anywhere. Not a chance in hell he does that if someone actually wanted him for what his contract was. Especially coming off shoulder surgery.
He's staying with the niners in case Trey gets hurt or doesn't perform for this season.

He has no trade value which is why this restructured contract happened and his agent convinced him to take it.

This is all types of crazy. This will split the locker room and definitely hurt Trey. For Trey the smart thing to do is just fake an injury and sit on the sidelines. Let Jimmy and Shannahan deal with the mess. What does this mean for Brock Purdy and Nate Sudfield. Both played well during training and pre-season game, especially Brock Purdy.
