The only reason he was successful in year 2 was because he worked his ass off in year 1. Was in the program and strongly influenced it for 2 years. If he had been here only 1 year and played, he wouldn't be in the nfl right now, and I'll guarantee you that. Much of the credit goes to his 1st year in the program, and working with Easton and Hedberg that season.

There are very few people who know about the Foosball business that are unaware of where he went to college. D1 capable HS quarterbacks who read that article thinking of possible destinations are very aware of where TL went to college. NDSU is best served by positive Trey Lance publicity with or without the mention of NDSU.

There will come a day when Lance just becomes 49er QB Trey Lance without much mention of where he started his football life. Wentz is just Colts QB Carson Wentz even in local fish wrap articles unless it is specifically a local interest story by local writer.
