He has 4 QBs going off the board before that (he's been lower on Lance this entire time compared to McShay).

Also, here's a really good and deep article from NBC Sports' Thor Nystrom ranking the QBs in this draft class: https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/artic...ft-qb-rankings. Spoiler alert: he has Trey at #3 behind Lawrence and Fields but is very fair (and complimentary) in his analysis I thought. Made me realize how I took Trey's arm talent for granted last year.
I don't know much about the draft but seems like you're really out on a limb predicting that New England would trade up period.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

Agreed. Can't see an org that routinely trades down to stockpile picks trade up. Also they are in need of a QB now not in a year or two.

If the Pats want him and he slips past the other guys i could see them trading up.

They've routinely traded down but they've had Tom Brady at QB for a generation. They will need a franchise guy to get back on track. It wouldn't be all that crazy if they like him and don't think he will fall to them

ESPN's Louis Riddick passing along some pretty high praise for Trey Lance: https://twitter.com/LRiddickESPN/sta...38510273626123

Was just told “Trey Lance the young man/student of the game is even more impressive than Trey Lance the athlete”, which is saying A LOT. This man is talented as hell, and the amount he was asked to do/was responsible for within the offense at North Dakota State is exceptional. A+

Another testiment to the program and the coaches and especially Hedberg. We've heard that about every QB going into the NFL.

Lance will blow up even more after teams interview him. He looks even bigger in some recent workout videos.

Lance had the greatest season in NDSU history which says alot (by the way I wish that thread was still alive since I started it). He so impressive as an athlete and off the field I have no doubt he will do great in the NFL. He really could have used this season for additional snaps but oh well. I really wish the Queens would draft him but that won't happen.

I am not on board with this. I am a believer in Trey Lance but for some CEO to pay a kid out of college almost $million based on a 14-15 game resume just does not make sense.

A guest on Cowherd's show just said you can only like Trey Lance in the first round if you like quarterbacks that never turn the ball over and never lose.
