1-2 and 20 is a shitty way to try a play catch up when you are a rookie QB behind by 10. I think it was a pretty quality start for Trey!

Gimme a break. He certainly looked like a rookie at times getting his first start against arguably the best team in the league but in no way was he bad. If you want to root against him, go ahead.

Pointing out he didn't play well and had a passer rating of 58.4 doesn't mean someone is rooting against him. Players can have bad games and people can say they have bad games. Wentz has bad games all the time doesn't mean I want him to fail.

Trey went 15-29 192 yards and 16 carries for 89 yards rushing. Yep, he struggled at times against a good defense but by no means did he look like he didn’t belong.
Murray was 22-31 for 239 yards with 0 yards rushing and would probably win the league MVP if the season ended today.
Compared to The other rookie QB’s, Lawrence, Fields and Wilson, Trey probably had the best first start.
That said I believe the Niners will go back to Jimmy G. when he is healthy and I’m fine with that. Trey’s future is bright but it can wait!

I agree with al of this. His future is bright. I just can't see him holding up if he has to rush 16 times. Way too much for a QB in the NFL

Not more than 6. Christ the biggest 4th down mistake he made was kicking that FG with a minute left. They should have gone for it there as well, they needed a TD and weren’t going to get a better opportunity.
