The world has changed, like it has many times in the past. Those that adapt will survive and thrive. You don't see many small businesses making buggy whips any more.

Right. But you’re talking about a world with no in-person events; sports, concerts, rallies, etc. 100% virtual learning, no brick and mortar businesses period. Forever. Just doesn’t sound that great to me.

What the heck are you talking about.....survival of fittest is what past brave Americans did during disease outbreaks.....they went to work or school, frequented restaurants and bars, and attended movies, plays and sporting events. They didn't cower in their homes waiting for big daddy government.

The Americans I admire the most are the innovators. The ones who see a challenge and tackle it with new ideas and new solutions, not the ones who shout definently at the wind.

    I hear @NDSU
was bullied into this decision. The Fargo Cass Public Health folks have way too much power, unelected power. And it has nothing to do with the change to yellow recommendations.
weird take given that FCPH is far more democraticly legitimate than NDSU football

People really wanted to risk a global media dumping in NDSU football so they can watch a single non competitive game in person

A few months later, in March of 1919, the Stanley Cup Finals was canceled, according to CBS Sports, just hours before Game 6 was scheduled to start, this because several players became ill. Years later, the Stanley Cup trophy was engraved with the following: 1919 Montreal Canadiens/Seattle Metropolitans/Series Not Completed.”

The 1918 football season was a mishmash of canceled seasons and truncated schedules, depending on the school and the conference. All seven members of the Missouri Valley Conference — which would become the Big 8/12 — shut down football completely. Eight other schools did the same thing. Most schools cut their schedules almost in half, playing five games.
