Default MSU Coach: Polasek or Vigen?

    Hey,

As many of you have probably seen, Tim Polasek and Brent Vigen are both candidates for the MSU Head Coaching job. Any thoughts on who would be better? Also wondered how much Vigen had a hand in recruiting Wentz and the other good QB's?

MSU is on a reasonably good trajectory. Recruiting has been very good for the last couple years. We'll probably want to stay with a run-heavy offense.

I kinda think Vigen looks like the better choice. Lots of senior experience. Seems to be a good recruiter, but don't know.

    Thoughts?

    Scott

Drevino from USC gets the job.

Sorry I didn't answer, Counter Assault. I just can't make myself pick between two Bison.

It's still to odd to see Vigen's name attached to these kinds of head coaching rumors. He probably could've had the NDSU job over Klieman (alum... paid his dues longer with the program) in 2014 but chose to leave. Maybe he regrets that decision?

Can't imagine anyone on here would pick Vigen over Polasek simply from following the gameay threads the years Vigen was here, LOL

    Two questions:

1.) Why would either one of those guys want that job?
2.) Why is this on the Bison Football Forum?
    Insert something clever here...

What was usually the issue? You guys were pretty constantly winning.

You should care. If we hire either one of them, they will certainly be poaching in your recruiting territories...

Doubtful - Stick to your west coast players who usually are soft.

Not that likely. Hell, Craig Bohl at FBS Wyoming hasn't been very successful trying to do that.
