Drake Football with a big turnaround this year, were 3-8
in 2022. They were picked 8th in the preseason Pioneer League polls and ended up running the table there at 8-0.
Led by 5th year Head Coach Todd Stepsis. Beat a previous NDSU opponent on the road - San Diego 25-20.
Also took out future Bison opponent St Thomas 52-21 at home in Des Moines, delaying the Tommies dominance of the Pioneer League at least by a season. St Thomas was 7-1 in the PFL this year after winning it in their 2nd season of eligibility last year.
