1964 is correct. That's when the winning tradition began... with Mudra and Erhardt. Without them the program wouldn't be where it is now. Mudra was a master at turning programs into winners. And Ron Erhardt continued to build it into a DI-caliber program. He actually wanted to go DI then. His teams were plenty good. Many, many teams in the DII era were easily good enough to compete in DI-AA.
