I agree. I grew up in the Red River Valley but after living down here, I don't think outstate people understand the ridiculous amount of people and money there is in the twin cities. If St. Thomas catches on, there could be money here to support them.

There IS money here to support them. This $75M donation as well as the Schulze $50M donation a couple decades back were made by two non alumni who just happen to be wealthy practicing Catholics. There are more of them out there and Dick Schulze is still a billionaire who has not donated in a while AFAIK.
