Joe Hurlburt also had a previous Iowa offer, with this interesting family connection:
Will be interesting to see what happens with twin brother Gus. Saw him listed at 6’ 9” recently, so if he is 6’ 7” + will he get more offers than that older Fighting Hawks one?Sean Bock

Highlights of recent #Iowa hoops offer Joe Hurlburt, who hails from North Dakota, from the Jammin' in July via

.
Hulburt's aunt is Cindy Haugejorde, one of the all-time leading scorers in Iowa women's basketball program history.
247 Sports just came out with their updated class of 22 rankings and they list Joe Hurlburt at 47th overall in the nation. With that ranking it's hard to not envision him ending up at a P5 school.

Well, no. Joe fouled out. Tri-state had a senior heavy team that had been player together for quite some time. They had the scoring options to keep up with Enderlin and it just happened that night they caught fire in the 4th and came back. Don't get me wrong, Joe is and will be an amazing basketball player (so will his in brother), but on that night, Tri-State just had their number.
