NDSU athletics has thrived through the financial support of the fan base. You can contrast this with another nearby school that depends much more heavily on state funding, even though that situation is not what any objective person would call "fair".
Which source has the greater potential to dry up through this stupid pandemic?
Be careful how you react to this. Yes, it sucks, but the viability of the program is at stake. I for one will be making what I consider to be a healthy donation to NDSU athletics this fall, regardless of whether or not there are sports this fall.
I hope the answer to both is no. The lost revenue from the ticket sales and TM fees will result in large cuts to the department. If this goes down think of the money we will be saving by not attending, tailgating, etc...in most cases more then enough to cover the ticket and fees.
Tomorrow the CAA is expected to announce the postponement/cancellation of fall sports including football.

I keep wondering if this is a situation that the North Dakota legislature would want to weigh in on... because that would be entertaining. Unfortunately, they don't start their session until December.
