Rather than pursue this up front NDSU will sit on it while some other team actively works on making a deal.

Why are you always interjecting that someone is sitting on their hands not doing anything? Do you expect that the department send out press releases or perhaps call you personally for everything that they're working on but which has not been agreed to or finalized?

Not just you, a couple of others have the same issue.
    Insert something clever here...

We were spoiled big time in the GT days. Games were signed and the athletic department was making public facing waves at a pretty good clip (cmon he even got the 2x home games with Sue). These last several years we aren't seeing the same, so folks like to connect the dots and equate that to 'sitting on their hands'.

There are many pieces to the puzzle too. NDSU didn't have the recognition and FBS upset record they have today. Most schools were happy to fill a schedule and pay $600k to play us. Now most realize what they are getting into and don't want their school to lead off SportsCenter in September because they got taken to the cleaner by us. 10 calls back in 2010 would of landed us 4 games, whereas today the same 10 we'd maybe get 1 game (regardless of who's behind the phone). However, you still have to make those calls to know this and that's what folks are concerned about.

Then if they WONT play us, LETS MOVE UP AND PLAY THEM. Pretty simple.

I believe what they've found is that masks are most effective in conjunction with that minimum 6-foot distance. Jam people into an enclosed, indoor space and they become a lot less effective. Even at 6 feet, outdoors, they aren't 100% effective. And a lot of people are wearing masks that provide no benefit.

So it's a matter of degrees.

I'm trying to figure out what NDSU brass is supposed to jump on here. A thinking out loud sports reporter saying OSU should play the Bison? Sounds like a hot tip that Matt should jump on!!!

One thing is certain...…...if there isn't a 2020 football season, the pandemic of Bison Fatigue will be cured for the 2021 season.

13 NDSU athletes test positive. How is the season looking?

Tony I wish public health officials were as good at laying this out as you just did. Feel like if we got that message (in fairness I realize that they are learning on the fly for this one) but in some dream world where that was our message back in March I feel like we'd almost certainly be looking forward to a fairly normally scheduled 2020 season.
