Rank Stupidity! This whole thing stinks to hell from every angle.

Transferring at this point after already establishing himself in every way possible is blind stupidity. There is no nice way to put it. It makes no sense at all.

Either declare and start making millions in the NFL or continue on at NDSU and become something beyond legendary.

Transferring?????? Accomplishes nothing, and risks everything.

Had he just declared, everyone knows he runs a 4.5 or perhaps with some excellent track training even a 4.4, he would have been a combine star and gone in the 2nd round of this draft. The OLB crop outside of the 1st round in this draft is pathetically weak.

This was a blatantly a dumb-azz! move, and I am mortified that no one close to him talked him out of it.

Friends don't let friends drive their lives like a drunk driver.

The guy is fundamentally sound in every aspect of the game and his tackling and coverage skills are elite. He has...NOTHING TO PROVE!!!

All this stuff is on TAPE for everyone to see.

If he gets dinged up next year with a power 5 team and is still able to hit the field but at 70%, all he does is put out a bunch of bad tape, and ends up a 4th round pick at best; or, he has a serious injury and becomes an afterthought.

If he gets injured as a Bison, he just waits until he is 90% or even 100%, and then goes to work and looks great. If he stays healthy and dominates....he acquires legendary accolades and gets drafted 1st day.

Isaiah Simmons is probably going to be drafted top five this spring based primarily on his stellar forty time. Jabril doesn't need to play in the SEC to get recognized; everybody, who is anybody already knows who he is and what he can do.

The list of guys who could have been drafted in the top 2 rounds of the NFL draft but stayed the last year only to get injured and fade to black is a mile long.

Do I wish him the best and more...Oh yeah, God Bless him everywhere all the time. Am I thankful for all he has done as a Bison student athlete? enormously!

It just is what it is....rank stupidity! Where are this kids friends and family??

I don't know, maybe he just wants to find out first hand what it is really like to lose multiple games and not be in the running for a title.

Kind of hard to get drafted in the first round as a LB playing FCS or G5 football due to how many good to great LBs available at the top of the P5 level. He's betting on himself that he can prove to everyone, especially the NFL scouts, that he's just as good of a LB as those coming from places like LSU, Alabama, Clemson, etc. Staying at NDSU won't make this possible.

In theory that is correct. Except teams like LSU and Alabama already have players as good as Jabril. Their 3rd string linebackers are that good. The difference is, they actually know the playbook and system. If he is as good of an athlete as we know, he will do well at the combine which is important. If he has a terrible combine, like Nick DeLuca, he will fall off the boards

It all depends on what his goals are. If he just wants to play Power 5 football... this is a no brainer. If he wants to improve his stock... it's a questionable decision

That's why I said he is betting on himself. I wish he would stay, but I understand his situation at the same time.

This smells like someone who has never accomplished anything important in his life. It’s cool if you have no dreams or aspirations but news flash, other people do. Jabril has had a dream to play FBS his whole football career and now he gets that chance. For you to call him stupid for having a dream and achieving it is trash, but I’m sure you are used to that living your trash life.

If that was his dream he should have walked on at an FBS program from the beginning, not used NDSU to make it there. Just sayin.

So he should’ve never played at NDSU so certain snowflakes couldn’t get their sensitive feelings hurt? I’ll wager he doesn’t give two cents about the feelings about grown adults who think like children.
Do you honestly think this program would be in a better spot today had Jabril signed with a different MVFC school and then did the same thing?

Sure......maybe NDSU should just be a development program for FBS. To clarify, my feelings are not hurt as far as Jabril goes. I am only concerned about the well being of NDSU's football program. Get that thru your thick skull.

So is being a "development program" for the NFL a bad thing too?
