North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

Upgrade from one losing team in its conference to another losing program. The difference : the losses will be on tv (SEC channel) or ESPN whenever the Vandies play UNC, Duke, et al.

One more difference: there will be smiles instead of sadness after those losses. He will be smiling as he walks into the bank to deposit his NIL bag money.

SDSU in the Transfer Portal Era

    https://www.mitchellrepublic.com/spo...-team-together

This past off-season, multiple Jackrabbits had interest and offers from schools bigger than South Dakota State. They didn't take them.

"My experience here and being around the culture and community of Brookings has been fantastic," said guard Zeke Mayo, this year's preseason Summit League player of the year. "The love I receive here — I couldn't ask to be in a better place. Do I leave and go somewhere where I come off the bench and only play 15-20 minutes, or stay here and have the green light and be the guy? That was my choice, and I'm thankful to be here."
Mayo will be a Junior this season, so will be interesting to see what happens next Transfer Portal Season. This year he’s the Straw that stirs the Jackrabbits Juice, next year will he be the Condiment that makes another Team’s Sandwich???
