Per Ross, both Duke and Kansas have suspended all athletic travel, which pulls them out of the tournament.

The tournament is dead unless the NCAA wants to try to do it in May.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.
Saw this idea kicked around on twitter for a scenario where the tournament was cancelled that I thought was interesting. Allow all seniors an additional year of eligibility next year if they want it. They don't need to utilize it so if the blue chippers wanted to go get drafted they could do that or if the guys who want to start their careers had plans in place they can do that as well but allow those who got shorted their senior season an extra year. The NCAA would obviously have to increase scholarship limits for at least one year for it to work with the incoming freshmen.
I still think the tournament should just be postponed and played once we've got a better handle on this virus but it is an interesting idea that wouldn't give guys like Vinnie Shahid and Tyson Ward such a kick in the pants in what was presumably their last game(s) as a college basketball player.
With the NBA suspending operations indefinitely I highly doubt their pre-draft and draft stuff will be happening on the original schedule. Everything is going to be pushed back at least a month or two so the NCAA has a window without interrupting NBA draft prep for their athletes.
There is no way the tournament happens. Expect an announcement from the NCAA soon. If pro sports arent playing, no way that amateur sports will. Sucks. But, on the bright side, UND hockey was the favorite to win it all and will likely have no chance of winning due to cancellation.

It's definitely looking like the direction is going to be canceled regardless so the conversation is irrelevant either way.
The interesting thing is if this is still going on as it gets closer to football season, will NCAA sacrifice it's premier revenue generating sport and do something then? Obviously the NFL isn't.
If enough teams pull out, we should get a 1 seed
how about MAY MADNESS instead of March Madness?
just do it all in May.
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
