Nice win, but ugly. Always fun to beat SDSU, but especially fun when so much is on the line. Saturday’s game is for the season. Should be another great crowd!

    1)SDSU is really well coached.

2)Shahid was really bad. Really bad game, happens to hit some shots late, plays bad defense late, then tries to hero ball 3 of the last 4-5 possessions of the game. Not really a time for that. At all.

3)NDSU's most impactful player is Ward. It shouldn't even be a secret. The ball should go through Ward's hands at some point of the possession every single time down. He's their best player on the court and there isn't a defender in the Summit than can stop him inside.

4)Key getting fouled late in the game when NDSU is full court pressing is EXACTLY why some teams do not like to play full court defense in those instances. Your defense isn't set up in the halfcourt to stop that. NDSU played that possession right, but for all the people who say Richman doesn't know what he's doing when he lets teams roll the ball upcourt, that's exactly why he does it.

How the heck are we going to replace Tyson and Vinnie next year
Shahid's production can be replaced. His leadership maybe not. The PG they have coming in has a very similar skillset. What Ward does in the post is absolutely irreplaceable. Dude is a special player.

Sam Griesel has really struggled this year, and I'm hoping it's just his injury. He just isn't good enough inside, and he isn't a good enough shooter to stretch the court. Really tough to see him have this sophomore slump after last year. He may just need a summer to get strong again and get his confidence back. Right now he just doesn't really fit into any kind of a role on offense.

Key is more worried about flopping his hair around than playing

Ugly game, not sure why NDSU didnt drive the lane more with SDSU being in Foul trouble late int he first half..win is a win, neither team makes any noise in the dance or NIT though

Agreed and Ward has to have the ball in then end when we have a lead or need a bucket to tie or win! Ice cold shooting by Bison, do you credit good defense? I think we had good looks. Could be tired legs from the long season.

Man it feels good to get the win. It certainly wasnt pretty and I doubted it at times but the team gut it out. What can you say about Tyson, kid willed us to that win. Teams have to send help or else he will eat them up. He needs to get even more touches going forward. I thought Vinnie had a really poor game on both ends but did make two bigs 3 to narrow the lead late. He has had so many monster games for us, it was nice to see us pick him up on a off night. Crowd was awesome, the guys do really cherish that kind of environment.

Wanted to note a couple things about SDSU to end. First off, Hendo has done a phenomenal job with that group. They are playing really well, even without their best player. Friedel is going to be a major issue for years to come. Not afraid of the moment and seems to have a knack for knocking down big shots. The Dentlinger kid...its truly is amazing how much he has improved from last year. He does a great job at getting to his spot and has really nice touch around the hoop once he establishes it. His ability on the defensive end to hedge ball screens really allows SDSU time to recover.

One final game on saturday to grab a share of the conference title and send off 4 seniors with a W on senior night.

Happy with the win, happy with the defense, but really really frustrated with the offense.

Vinnie needs to figure out that he won't get out of his slump jacking up threes. Everyone outside of Vinnie and Tyson needs to be more aggressive putting the ball on the floor. If their pride allows it Richman and staff could learn a lot from SDSU in how to use their big men on the high pick and roll. They got several easy baskets because their bigs did a good job sealing the guards defender they screened and the guards were looking for them on the roll (which NDSU's guards rarely do).

This team really needs to get something figured out on the offensive end this last game against Omaha to get some momentum going into the tourney. Their last 2 games have been pretty awful offensive basketball.

Jacks are good. We beat a good team tonight despite poor shooting, especially from three. Both teams have great defenses. Yes, Vinnie was off tonight; hope he finds the magic again starting saturday and into the tourney. Tyson Ward is playing his best basketball of his life right now. Just get him the ball let him do his thing. Always good to beat the bunnies. Crowd was electric, hoping for the same saturday!
