Only if they allow fans to tailgate outside of the stadium at halftime.
It's OK to not be OK.

That would be fun. We will be playing an FBS team 30 minutes from there in 4 years though. I'd imagine something like that would take at least 2-3 years to get planned, so that could potentially split our attendance between the two games.
Some say it's a backward place. Narrow minds on a narrow way, but I make it a point to say. That that's where I come from.

There is no way in hell St. Johns will continue to play St. Thomas as a DI program, even if they are non scholly. Much like UND did not want to play a their rival NDSU when they moved up, and rightfully so. In case you didnt notice, St Thomas’ departure from the league wasn't exactly smooth. No way they do anything to help out Tommie football.

The chances that we could get an FBS seam to play us at US Bank Stadium are about 1%, and that is aiming high.

Right now, the going rate for a Group of 5 team to get a guarantee from a Power 5 is running anywhere from $1.2 to $1.8 million. We cannot afford that kind of payout.

Group of 5 teams guaranteeing other Group of 5 teams are running in the $1 million range (see Liberty paying Old Dominion a couple of years ago). We cannot afford that.

Group of 5 teams pay FCS teams anywhere from $150k to about $600k. This is in our range.

I see a game at US Bank Stadium happening, specifically in 2024 or 2025. These are years that FCS teams can play 12 games, which would be the best seasons to do this.

    Future road games:

    2021 - schedule full
    2022 - @ Arizona
    2023 - none scheduled
    2024 - @ Colorado *12 game season
    2025 - none schedules *12 game season

My money would be a FCS team in 2025, perhaps a HBCU that has a band and loves to travel (Jackson State, Florida A&M, Grambling).

That would be awesome. But there is a 0% chance that Gene and Chris want anything to do with playing NDSU.

Would be interesting to see the numbers from the Target Field game. The Bank holds 75% more seats. Would be a much better stadium to watch a FB game. Guessing you could charge twice as much or more depending on opponent. I say we play UND down there on Saturday Oct. 2, 2021 just to see what we can make out of it.
