pumping is almost done. the correct answer is better conference, better competition. "bring on the competition!"

Weve made the tournament 10 out of 11 years. Our profile would shrink if we go to a great conference and make the playoffs 5 out of 11 years. What we need to do is take our team to the next level. To do that we need to land the occasional big time player. That is more likely to happen when you are a perennial playoff team

like track, they dominate the summit. both programs would do better in a bigger conference. oh well.

Incorrect. Dominating a terrible softball conference does nothing for us anymore. No “big time player” would have respect for the summit.

It gets us to the tournament every year. Do you really think a larger conference, like the MVC, would get us games on ABC or something? We certainly wouldnt win the title every year and that would mean less media coverage.

We can develop or land better talent to improve our program and take it to the next level. Its not easy but we can do it. Just like we do in other sports.

What do you mean by take it to the next level? You mean like get into a better conference?

If you're wanting to get more exposure/respect, moving to a bigger and better conference that has more exposure/respect is exactly what you're looking for...

NDSU softball can be an even better program than our one super regional per decade, but it won't happen in the Summit.
