Claim to Fame: Best visiting team broadcast booth for football?*

North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

One claim to fame of theirs that I was just made aware of this last playoff season is their players had a sledgehammer swung at them during a wild end-of-game brawl against Western Kentucky in the 2002 D1AA playoffs:

Allegedly this is why the MVFC (Gateway back then) instituted the pre-game midfield handshake for the entire teams/coaching staffs before conference games. Both these teams were in the Gateway conference in 2002.
Holy shit that is brutal. It's like cmon dude it's a football game
