‘Yotes doing some interesting things with their outstate recruiting.
    5th verbal from Florida.

Jackrabbits probably have the advantage in-state this year, but USD doing well elsewhere. Before the Melvin Swindle commit they got a verbal from Florida. No ranking of stars or within the State of him by 247, but has a nice offer list.

    Danny Browdy - 6’ 4” 210 - DE - Brooksville FL (Hernando)

Was offered by UAB, UT-Martin, Troy, Austin Peay, East Tennessee State, Navy, Army, Eastern Kentucky

Hopefully those players stick for them. Haven't they had issues with out of state players jumping ship after a year or so recently?

    Matteo Bonnin - 6’ 3” 215 - WR - Hudson WI
    Commits to South Dakota.
Other offers include SDSU, Illinois State, St Thomas, Fighting Hawks.

Another nice get for the ‘Yotes.
Bonnin was another player I kept an eye on to see if NDSU would show interest. Since they didn’t offer I have always hoped that meant good things on recruiting of other WR’s......

Had hoped Bison could get him as a PWO over his other offers, but when South Dakota offered in early Nov......

Commits to Northern Iowa after decommit from USD.

Hopefully he can stick. Never can be too sure with out of state players. Hasn't SDSU had problems with players jumping ship?

USD also received a commitment from:

    Jack Martens
    Cumberland High School
    Cumberland, WI
    WR 5'11" 185
Al Toon Award Winner - WI Best WR

    OFFERS:
    DARTMOUTH
    FORDHAM
    COLUMBIA
    NDSU PWO

You guys do a good job here covering recruiting for the MVFC.

Hey not fair! I had the same comment/question about USD a few posts ago.

Why do I have it in my head that USD had a player or two from the south leave in the last few years after just one year at USD? Was that actually SDSU?

I believe at least 2 SDSU players from Illinois headed home - one to Northern Illinois - and maybe a 3rd transfer I cannot remember where from. I do remember they lost 2 well regarded CB FR this offseason, including one I think the Bison had offered. Plus WR Cade Johnson is either going NFL or FBS or something...

I had put the Jack Martens news over in the NDSU Recruiting thread due to the Bison PWO offer.
Seems like another good get for South Dakota. NDSU had an early commit from a similar player - Alex Oeschner, also from Wisconsin - so may have slowed down a full offer. Martens had quite the HS career!

Don’t know about Coyote transfers. Perhaps Yote 53 knows of some?
