Something has to give.
empty seats are corporations/businesses (family farmers) holding onto 8-12 season tickets buy only finding 4-6 people to go and the other seats just go empty. hence why playoffs haven't been selling out, they are only buying the one's they need then.

I wonder how many local k-12 kids would show up to the games if they were allowed free admission/seats that would have otherwise gone empty? Could be a great young fan outreach project if ticket holders were willing to check in on an app or have ticket scanners connected to an app that shows seats not used.

Solid idea but it would take season ticket holders to start the process and then adults to get tickets for themselves and kids into the game. Since most people do not go out of their way to find the tickets currently, I doubt this would help with empty seats. But it is a good idea.

Obviously not as there are questions about this every year.

Yeah im a farmer with 2 season tickets who has trouble getting rid of those 2 tickets if I can't make the game. The first couple years I had a waiting list to use the tickets. But now you can watch every game on TV so know one wants to go to the actual game. Don't think it's just ndsu experiencing this either. Modern technology is ruining attention spans.

Heck I can't even sit through a 2 hour movie anymore. Find myself looking at my phone or just bored before it's over. Maybe it's crap movies but I think it's more of an attention span change then anything.

Excuse me! Ding ding... that’s precisely why we try to fill seats with Veterans! An extremely appreciative group of people who actually SHOW UP & are BEYOND EXCITED to be able to come to a BISON game!
