I love all the talk on here that the Gophers are scared to play NDSU. Please explain the benefit of playing any FCS schools if you're an FBS school?? I'll tell you since you guys don't seem to know college football. There's absolutely no benefit to it. If they lose, they'll never be ranked again in the season and will be playing at best in the Little Ceasars bowl game. If they win, there''s supposed to win and now their schedule is weaker because they even scheduled an FCS opponent. That's the whole point of the Big 10 eliminating those games, there's some pretty bad teams in the big 10 that you have to play every year so that hurts their schedule with that already, than you throw in a FCS school and now even if you go undefeated you're not getting into a decent bowl because of your schedule strength. Nobodys scared of playing NDSU, get real, if they're so great why don't they move up. If there was another upper division above FBS I know Alabama would want to be in, I would assume every school would want to be it, but not NDSU, let's continue playing teams that don't even offer scholarships and brag about our JV titles.

Look how upset you're all getting by me throwing facts at you and you can't come back with anything but what you guys did 5 years ago and some made up crap about not being able to move up to FBS when there's nothing stopping you. Not an invite, not money, not a stadium, none of it is why, all of those things NDSU meets to move up. You just can't handle playing more than one FBS school every 3 years with your talent and you know that's not getting any better. Nobody grows up wanting to play at an FCS school. Good luck playing Oregon next year, they lost most of their good players this year but I'm thinking they'll still win by 3 TD's, just remember the Gophers beat Auburn this year that beat an Oregon team that was a lot better than the one you're going to play. You mean the Gopher team that had 10 players suspended and barred from the stadium and their QB played with a concussion that he got from playing Penn State the week before, or the exact same Iowa team the year before they were 12-0 that the Gophers beat by 40. Yeah that team.

This article notes that the 4 players that were barred from TCF Bank Stadium didn't take effect until October 21st (13 days AFTER the Iowa game) and was lifted on November 2nd.

Here are some notes regarding those 10 players including stats and participation in the game vs. the Hawkeyes.

So did NDSU, the only difference is the Gophers played them week 1 as a warm up and didn't have their starting QB, LB and one of there RB's not playing in a game that they only trailed for about 5 minutes. If they played them in week 9 they would have won by 50.

We should actually be more thankful to UM. Their incompetence really helped our D1 transition and decade of dominance. If they didn't suck so bad and didn't ignore all the great players in their own backyard our life would have been tougher. But look at us now sipping Budweiser in Frisco. Cheers to the rodents and their one good year since the Eisenhower administration !

An fcs team beating a 11-2 big ten team is EXTREMELY unlikely, would be a app state michigan type upset it just doesnt happen beacuse the difference in talent levels. Most gopher fans dont hate ndsu they just hate their fans and what they say because they are delusional.
