Default 2020 Way Too Early Preview

This is one of my favorite things to do immediately after each season.

Or you can use this link to get to the 2020 one instead of 2019...

Whoa! Was there a three win bonus awarded for getting to sixteen?

Not to take away from the article, but what's with the coaches claiming "rebuilding"? Who said we were rebuilding this year? Or was that material to keep guys motivated last year?

Any chance we bring in a DT transfer? I feel it is much needed.

What do you mean what's with the coaches? They lost the coach, half the staff the should-have-been Walter Payton QB and like a dozen other starters. Many media folks were predicting two losses, saw several folks on this very message board predict three. Shoot I think everyone BUT the coaches was claiming rebuilding.

I dont see how Preseason #1 and still being a title contender is "rebuilding". Seems like it was a little much after I saw that Saturday.

LOL, another talking head saying NDSU doesnt stand a chance, BULLETIN BOARD MATERIAL

    (Purple)

Just got the text, Trey is pissed. Look for the Bison to win BIG in Eugene next fall
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

I like the idea of moving Tutsie to FS to get Kaczor on the field full time at SS. Tutsie had his issues tackling from time to time but he's a ball hawk... sounds like a good FS to me. That would also give Weerts a chance to rotate in behind Mercadel at WLB. Earlier in the season I thought Weerts was going to take Hankey's spot at MLB next year but I'm not as bullish on that anymore. Having Weerts split reps with Mercadel seems like a better option.

I think they'll be just fine at DE. I still think Barty Ogbu has the potential to be a great one... he just couldn't get healthy this season. Add Will Mostaert and Reed Ryan for depth and they'll have at least 4 DEs to rotate. DT is my biggest concern. I hope Javier Derritt can develop into an anchor at DT... he's got the most potential of anyone at that position IMO. But they've had a knack for finding really good walk-ons at that position like Schaetz and Steidl so maybe they catch that kind of lightning in a bottle again and one of the unheralded guys seizes the opportunity available there.
