I'm not positive, but I don't believe he can play four games unless he has a redshirt year to use.

He can’t redshirt because he has already played 3 years and is ineligible for 2020 due to transfer. That leaves him only one more season of eligibility and it has to be 2021. (Clock started when he enrolled at Mankato)

This is right, 5 years to play 4. Still a good question about the 4 game rule. Probably only applies to redshirt years, not transfer years.

I believe N. Radunz will be a Junior. Don't think Halverson is on the team and as far as the Mostaerts….I believe one is a DE and the other a DT?

Yes, Radunz is a junior and Halverson is no longer on the team. Regarding the Mostaerts, I thought I heard I heard Coach Entz say he wanted both of them to play at about 270-275 pounds this year. I could be wrong. I will move Will to DE for now. The spring roster should come out next month.

As a transfer up from D-II, he is ineligible to play for a year. So no, he can't play 4 games next year. He still has 5 years to use 4 years of eligibility, so even though he has played 3 years, he will be eligible to play his final season in 2021.

Reading this article, http://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes...transfer-terms, a redshirt year could only be used if you are eligible to compete. Since a transfer student-athlete is not eligible until they complete one year of academic eligibility, it doesn't appear they can use the four game rule.

Also sounds like even if he had transferred after, say, his freshmen year, he couldn’t redshirt and be eligible to play 4. Still “ineligible” to play for the first year???

IOW, if you transfer, you basically loose redshirt option or lose another year of playing a full schedule?
