This. Last years DLine was so good. 2013 had amazing depth and talent.

Next years team should be better than 19. Treys JR or SR has a good chance to be best ever.

I feel we should look for a DT transfer or Juco guy to help next year.

I'd guess some of the other D1 teams are better. I didn't catch a ton of games this year but they had vulnerabilities on defense.

2013 stands above the rest I think. Maybe less explosive but the offense could sit in cruise control most of the time since nobody was doing shit against that defense other than David Johnson lmao.

An underrated team in this discussion is the 2017 team. Obviously they had the L due to the 5 turnover debacle in Brookings but statistically that team was every bit as good as the 3 undefeated teams. I'll post a statistical comparison of all 4 of them later today.

Make you're own judgement but I still say the best defense in that group was in 2017. This year's offense was about right in line in most categories with last year's juggernaut offense but did end up 4 points back in points per game (probably due to redzone efficiency being worse). This year's defense was the worst of the bunch but that's some pretty stiff competition.

I still give 2018 the tiniest of nods over the 2013 team. I think purely statistically 2017 was ever a better team than this year's team was but that goose egg in the L column for the 2019 team can't be overlooked.

It is tough for me to compare teams because of different OOC competition like 2013 K State. Also, in the Valley, itself teams and the challenges they present can vary year to year.
