How many players did we have back from the 18 championship team, you ask? ahh who cares, that championship didnt matter because JMU wasnt there"

    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

One thing that replay doesn't show that just adds to how great the play was is that after Hayes sheds the blocker, he not only hits the receiver but he stripped him too. Ball definitely hit the ground and got picked back up by WR again. Just helped slow the play down even more. So not only did he shed the blocker, he made the tackle AND stripped the ball. One of the most impressive plays I have seen.
The other thing about this play is Hayes wrapped rather than just hit the runner. There was a play later in the game (may have been a 3rd or 4th down on the last drive) where the runner was hit about a yard short of the line to gain but rather than wrapping up. It allowed the runner to gain an extra yard or two and reach the line to gain. If he came in with a wrap up tackle he could have possibly stopped him short. Hitting has replaced tackling which is also leads to targeting and missed tackles.

That was the one play that Dinucci will remember from that day. He out physicaled a day's worth on that play. Won the day on that play.

Not really understanding the Brian McLaughlin hate. I think he does a pretty good job covering the entire FCS (well at least the eastern 1/2 of the country, I think Sam Herder focuses on the Western half).

He did place close to last in the media FCS bracket challenge. I think he “preseason hunched” himself out of a higher place.

He does do a good job I think.

Think this year most of it stems from him having JMU #1 (a 4 loss team the year prior) because they had "so much returning" until what the SDSU game? And giving them credit (JMU) for "dominating" the line against WVU even though they lost and WVU was one of the worst offenses in the entire FBS. Was he wrong that they were a good team. No.

This sums it up pretty well. To me, he had made prediction preseason, that wasn't preposterous, but continued to form his narrative around his prediction. It seemed like he was applying two different metrics to measure NDSU and JMU. Nothing that he said was necessarily wrong or unfair to anyone, I just didn't like how he was justifying his position. He does a great job covering FCS though. He's the best of the Hero guys IMO. That's my thoughts on it.

The InForum staff (Eric Peterson I think) got a great shot of the fumble:

    Hail the BISON!!!
