Did JMU even have a plan to slow down the QB running game?
It's OK to not be OK.
Moments in the conversation:
Carson dive to take the lead and preceding plays (probably #1 for me?)
Darrius Bomb in JMU game
Hendricks pick.
Thortons pick was huge- but Hendricks at the goal line at the buzzer has a little more oomph for me.
Change Hendricks pick to a 100yd Pick six and it turns into my personal favorite moment haha. as it is, it is a top 2-3 moment already,. Incredible.
1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
3. It's time to go FBS
Your logic handcuffs the team down by 15.
Scenario 1:
Kick XP, down 8 with 5 or 6 min left. Going to hope to get the ball back with chance to force OT.
Scenario 2:
Go for two, down 7 with 5-6 minutes left. Hoping to have the ball at the end with a chance to tie or win if you want.
Scenario 3:
Go for 2, fail. Down 9 with 5-6 minutes to go. At least now you know you need to get the ball two more times and can take measures to make that happen.

Entz said in the presser that they had decided pretty quickly that this was going to a be a Lance game because JMU hadnt had to defend a QB run game all year, and they felt that was a mismatch in their favor, turns out they were right, obviously.
I think they committed slightly more towards stopping it in 2nd half which is when we saw more punts from us as well as the TE passing game start opening up. I felt there was more to be had in the TE game, but coaches must have felt they could Ice the game without changing anything

What is NOT arguable is that Beck's INT is still the #1 greatest natty play for me, and I'll argue that all day long, IF, of course, I am in an argumentative mood TO argue with you to begin with, which, I argue, rarely happens with me (arguably). Otherwise, if you continue to argue the point, I'll invite you to join me in a dark downtown alley sometime, where I'll end this ridiculous argument post haste!
It was probably best it was 3rd and 23 and not 3rd and 7-8. They probably figured no way he scrambles needing that many yards for a first down so they might not have thought about having a spy. Play with some safety help over the top to take away the deep pass. Make them throw it underneath and make a tackle. Once the wr ran across the field there was no one close to make a play and the wr blocked the only guy who had a chance to get to him
Not sure if the panorama has been posted yet or not:
