Second half: Little to no kudos deserved here. Bison come within 2 yards and a 2-pt conversion of letting it slip into OT and potentially losing the game when, based on how the Bison were beating JMU in the first half, the game should have been over by the early to mid-4th quarter. 21 pts (1st half) versus 7 pts (2nd half). Hendrick's interception was terrific (even though diNucci gave it away, looking that way until he threw) and it secured the W. However, too much Trey running, too much putting your QB at risk of an injury, not enough of the other (really good) running backs getting the ball, not enough short 5-10 yard passes, not enough utilizing the receivers, not enough keeping JMU guessing and off-balance. One could say Roehl avoided the pass b/c of the playing conditions (cold, wet, windy), but JMU was passing the ball effectively, so not a convincing argument.
