Yeah, really encouraging day. Guys like Cordell and JVM getting a bunch of wins with Cordell reversing an earlier loss against a quality guy in Ducharme.

Throw in Weber's run, De La Riva beating Smith, and everyone contributing and today really was really good.

Nice to see JVM get going and rattle off a bunch of wins. Same for Eaton.

Encouraging to see Cressell get a bunch of wins.

Huge win for De La Riva today too.

Only real bummers today are no Fogarty and Midkiff getting injured. I thought Midkiff would place and was definitely among the top 8 in the tournament. Hopefully he's back in short order, but if not, I'm all for burning Gamet's redshirt.
I don't know how we ended up here instead of at South Beach, but I'm glad it worked out that way.

JVM gets a medical forfeit and will place. He has Van Der Mere next, who is the top seed and beat him handily earlier in the tournament.

Franek with a really nice win to advance to placement rounds.

Cressell battled back from a big hole and then got headlocked and pinned.

    De La Riva up now

De La Riva loses 8-7, Eaton loses big.

    Stibral wins and will place.

    Metz coming up

Wow, Metz was damn near pinned, and rolls the guy through to get his own fall with 1 sec left in the first, erasing an 8-2 deficit.

Couple forced throws that backfired, but he advances anyway.

Sykora looking great early with two first period takedowns, a 4 point tilt, and leads 8-1 after 1 with almost 2 minutes of RT in tow.

Weber scrambled well to avoid a couple takedowns to get to the second period scoreless.

In the 2nd, Weber rides really tough for 1:45 before giving up the escape. Weber very nearly gets a td at the end of the second that they are reviewing. Weber trails 1-0 heading to the third and will have 46 seconds to escape to tie it and hold the rt advantage
