ZERO interceptions is such a crazy stat that is has attracted a lot of attention.

If Lance plays a full season, there will be interceptions, and the same draft wizards will be bringing up the usual suspects (level of competition, speed of decision making, footwork, arm motion, etc.)

Heck, Walker, Jensen, Wentz, and Stick all were very good* at limiting interceptions and all had multi-interception games.

    * Didn't they all set school records for consecutive pass attempts without an interception?

    Edit for research:

Steve Walker: 116 consecutive pass attempts without an interception (110 in one season)
Brock Jensen: 142 (he also had a streak of 140)
    Carson Wentz: 143
    Easton Stick: 152
    Trey Lance: 288 !!!!

I think the pivotal stat for Lance's odds to be drafted high are his interceptions. If he has another zero, or low single digit INT season, he goes first round no doubt.

He still has to show more tape on sitting back and making all types of throws consistently. No doubt he has the talent to go high at some point. Im still skeptical on him leaving after sophomore season.

I think of the advice Wentz gave to Josh Allen about leaving early for the NFL.

I think Trey's evaluation is that he is very lethal with his deep throws. He can throw deep passes at will and has a surprisingly great accuracy with his deep throws. However scouts want to see him throw short to intermediate passes. Trey should not worry about interceptions. He should just operate the offense without any pressure and not worry about outside pressure.

How do you know that that's not already happening and yet he still hasn't thrown one?
